They help digest food, absorb and synthesise nutrients from food.

How can you maintain a healthy gut? 1. Opt for high antioxidants, phytochemicals and polysaccharides wholesome plant, fruits and vegetables.
2. Have 20g to 30g of fibre daily
3. Consume a high plant base protein from legume, nuts and seeds. Soy is among the highest plant protein.
4. Avoid food with additives, preservatives and artificial colouring.
(Read the label. Usually when you see word with like chemical names eg sodium benzoate, citric acid, potassium sobate, ascorbic acid, tocopherol, etc)
5. Limit consumption of saturated fats
6. Out of 3 meals, choose at least 1 of the meals to be plant base.

I choose to have high antioxidants, phytochemicals and polysaccharides freeze dried wholesome plant, fruits and vegetables with fibre as my healthy breakfast in a min.
